    Okrika is a Tonal Language

Pitch changes meaning: Á (high tone) = "you" but À (low tone) = "he/she/it". The same consonants and vowels with different tones are completely different words. Okrika uses Subject-Object-Verb (SOV) order: "I water drink" instead of "I drink water".
